Lavender essential oil, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful smelling essential oils out there. It’s fragrance is fresh, soft, floral and clean. When I open the bottle to my lavender essential oil I wish I could be enveloped in the scent all day long.
What you may not know is that lavender essential oil is one of the best oils to use for hair care. Lavender oil is great for dried out locks. It is easily absorbed into hair and also skin, deterring dryness.
Lavender essential oil is also useful for the following:
- treating dry scalp and dandruff
- nourishing dry hair
- promoting hair growth
- healing eczema
- remedying hair loss
- eradicating a lice infestation
I have brittle, frizzy hair that is riddled with split-ends. Lavender oil comes to the rescue in providing moisture to my hair. I have noticed that with continued use my hair is less frizzy and healthier.
How I Use Lavender Oil
I apply lavender oil in the morning before I head out the door. I sprinkle just 5-8 drops into the palm of one hand and rub it into my other hand a bit and run my palms and fingers through my hair, applying more to the particularly dry, damaged strands.
I have been using lavender oil in this way for 2 months now and have noticed a difference. I have even received compliments on my fragrant, healthy-looking locks!
Where to Find Lavender Oil
You may be asking, “where can I find lavender oil?” Well, I purchase lavender essential oil online, but the oil can also be found in some natural food stores.
